We are hosting the Texas Cup at the beautiful new Civic Center in Waxahachie, Texas-located south of Dallas. This is going to be a great venue for our lifters! Entry form will be ready soon. We are excited and looking forward to having a great meet for everyone!
FYI….All record certificates are now completed and in the mail.
This is to those that submitted Texas State record forms for Master Nationals. I just wanted to let you know that I have not forgotten about you. I seem to be missing one of my printer cables. I’m looking for it, hoping I won’t have to order a new one. As soon as I find that darn cable, I’ll get your record certificates printed and shipped. I’m sorry for the inconvenience.
It saddens me to say this because I’m going to miss all of you…
For personal reasons, Greg and I are stepping down from the APF State Chair position that we’ve held together since the end of 2008. We have enjoyed every moment we had with all of you, including the most stressful times. Texas has some of the greatest, nicest lifters out there. Like I said, I will miss all of you.
Randy and Liz Nesuda have agreed to take over the position in the interim, at least until the party that is interested in holding that position is capable of taking on the responsibility (he will remain nameless at this time, unless he chooses to speak up). Since we started running meets, Randy and Liz have been a huge help, including but not limited to bringing equipment and judging. They have said that they like the direction the current Texas APF is going and hope to continue down that path, as if there was no “changing of the guards”, so to speak. Randy and Liz are incredible people–hardworking, fun, easy going, intelligent and helpful. They are a true asset to the APF in whatever capacity they hold, whether it be as a lifter, judge or chairman. Knowing all of the Texas APF lifters, I’m sure you’ll welcome them with open arms.
You should be able to continue to use the apftexas@yahoo.com email to reach Randy and Liz, as well as this blog. If that changes, we will let you know. I will be helping Randy and Liz transition into this role for as long as they need me, so I, too, will be available to help the lifter for a bit longer.
On that note… As I’ve said before, I’m going to miss all of you. If you have questions about the APF or if you just want to just chat with me, you’re more than welcome to email me at heatherdgamble@yahoo.com or find me on Facebook (Heather Gamble). It would be good to hear how you do at your future meets and to just keep in touch. Good luck to all of you…
